About Women in Agriculture Cooperative Federation Limited (WIACF)

Women in Agriculture Cooperative Federation Limited (WIACF) is a dynamic coalition of women and youth-driven agricultural cooperatives across Nigeria, united by a shared vision to transform agriculture into a sustainable, profitable, and globally competitive sector.

Established in 2009 as a grassroots initiative in Kogi State, WIACF expanded nationally in 2013, evolving into a federation representing over 12,000 grassroots farmers, with strong operational presence across all 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State.

WIACF was founded to address critical agricultural challenges including low productivity, unemployment, and food insecurity. Through structured cooperation and agribusiness development, the organization empowers members to transition from subsistence farming into scalable and profitable enterprises.

🏭 Integrated Rice Milling Project

Through strategic collaboration with partners like CESEL, WIACF has deployed solar-powered rice processing centres, strengthening Nigeria’s rice value chain while boosting rural industrialization and local economic development.

Dr. Esther Destiny Audu

Founder & President, WIACF

Dr. Esther Destiny Audu is the visionary founder and President of the Women in Agriculture Cooperative Federation Limited (WIACF), a leading agricultural movement empowering women and youth across Nigeria.

Born on November 6, 1969, she is a passionate advocate for agricultural development, rural empowerment, food security, and economic inclusion.

In 2009, she founded Kogi State Women in Agriculture with a clear mission to uplift rural women through structured agricultural cooperation. Due to its rapid growth and impact, the initiative expanded nationally and became WIACF in 2013.

Today, WIACF supports and empowers over 120,000 grassroots farmers across Nigeria.
